Another express wedding in the making… with just 2 months to fully prepare. Our good cousin, Martin married his first ever crush/barkada dating back to when they were just 2 years old! Serendipity or just plain soulmates?
Much of the planning though was done by Annalou and Mart. I helped them with all the suggestions and tips I can give. Budget wedding or not, it was simply one of the happiest weddings we had not just because they are our relatives but because you can feel the love and the joy of each of their families. It was also a reunion of sorts for the bride and groom! Relatives from both sides came in from different locations in the country.
Since Mart and Anna had a hard time with their invitations for almost 2 weeks already. Then my hubby, Allan, came in to the rescue! He is, I must say, the best graphic designer I have ever met/seen/married!!! ever and to the highest level haha!! :) He finished the invitation in just 3 hours tops! We printed it out the next day and zoom…. Mart and anna distributed it to all the guests and entourage after just one day. Hmm.. lilac and lavander invitation, looks very yummy too!
An audio visual presentation was also made by none other than Mae, my talented sister-in-law whom we requested to do since we are swamped already with work and which she diligently complied. It was a good video to watch depicting the couple’s love story. The ending of it was their first ever picture together taken when they were still 2 years old and (guess what) they were eating/sharing with each other a birthday cake! That was how their “love story” started. Isn’t that unique and dreamy?!
Our favorite family-friend priest, Msgr. Romy Ranada officiated the mass at his parish, Our Lady of Annunciation Parish wherein my father-in-law Grand Knight Papa Brice helped the couple with the church arrangements there since he was a great part of the parish’s committee since he and Msgr. have been uber-good friends from way back their Good Shepherd Cathedral days.
Everybody had a good time during the wedding with our well-prepared wedding programme hosted by none other than my another very talented sis-in-law, Nikki! She is a very good host-in-the-making and would definitely get the crowd’s attention by her very witty spiels and her charm when speaking in front. She was a very hands-on host and a young one at that! :) For inquiries, please pm me.
Of course, another star of the day was the photobooth souvenirs that we booked for them. I personally made the design of the photo card and included their cute caricature made by Bianca, Kevin’s girlfriend. Take a look:
So to Martin and Annalou, again thank you for trusting us with your event. We truly are happy to have helped you with your simple but fun and memorable wedding! God bless you both! God bless lavender weddings and family weddings!
